Lura Ketchledge

Join me this week as I chat with Lura Ketchledge…
You may recognize the name as the woman selling a haunted farm on Ebay. Not only does she live an eclectic life there as a psychic, but she is also an author. Lura says…..
I have led an eclectic life. For more than twenty years, I have owned horses, or I Should say been their employee!  I have been a model, waitress, bartender/shrink and a house-wife. I believe you too have to live life before you can write about it.
What’s a girl to do if she has psychic ability? It’s not something you can use on a job resume or is it? As a kid I always thought 99% of  people who claimed to see the dead were either mentally ill, had recently been paroled, or mildly deranged. Now that leaves just  1% of the population who claims to be able to see ghosts and possibly can. Cut that 1% right down the middle and you will find half are just lonely people vying for attention and desperately wanting to be special.
Real psychics never open their mouths; they keep their abilities a mystery and their identities a secret. Not wanting to be labeled as a freak, they are understandably silent, wouldn’t you be? They might be your next door neighbor, or someone you walk by in the grocery store. Once in a while, they have a slip of tongue and the truth spills out.
So back to the original question, is she a true psychic or not? My answer is partly yes, but not by choice and not the way you might think it should be.
I have written a series of books; five separate stories that comprise three novels. They are packed with the paranormal, ghosts, ‘Near Death Experience,’ psychic ability and reincarnation. The first books starts in the beautiful hunt country of Middleburg, Virginia in the spring of 1979. The first book is called The Near Death Connection and the title is true to its word.
The second book in the series is called Throw Away Horses. The setting is Christmas Eve Day, Middleburg,  but it ends some where else.
Part two of my second novel is called The Last House on Covington Lane.  It begins at a post-Kentucky  Derby party at the historic Five Chimneys Horse Farm.
My third book, The Reincarnation Of Tess Hamilton takes a different turn it begins in New York City of all places. Since you have read the title I don’t think I have to explain what its about.
There is one more book in the works that will complete the ghost series up to the present day. Without revealing too much I have put together previews of my stories to wet your appetite.
